We've had a bit of snow over the last few days. Yes I know, my Canadian friends are thinking - "that's not SNOW" - but it was special to us!

On my way home from Leeds I passed this snowman that some local kids must have made. It was only later that I realised just how rude it was! I'm so naive.

Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks in Liverpool.

So different in style from the more traditional design of the Anglican cathedral. Sometimes it is referred to as "Paddy's wigwam".

In the summer last year my daughter Ellie graduated from Liverpool University, UK. Soon she is off round the world again and we will miss her so much. So I thought I would post a couple of pictures of her now. This is her on the left with her friend Veronica.

I took this one a week or so ago. But I've got some others from the same spot that are much more colourful. I know I keep promising to hunt out some of those older ones - but I will try soon.

This was taken a little later the same afternoon as the previous entry.

As well as the silhouette, I like the dark wispy clouds drifting in front of the white cumulus behind.

This was taken near Alderly Edge one weekend before Christmas when we visited my son Tom who is in hospital near there.

I like taking photographs into the sun.

You can so often get such dramatic effects.

purple skies

These purple skies were recorded at Shipley Glen near to where I live. I like the way the clouds duplicate the skyline in this photograph.

Lots of the photos on this blog - especially of trees - were taken there.

There are some wonderful sunsets I took there a year or so ago which I must hunt out and publish here.
